Are you using this resource? Lesson Plans Page is a great stop for lesson plans and ideas. Over 3,500 possibilities. Its parent site, Hot Chalk, is another well known teacher stomping ground.

Seems Oprah's gotten into the Children's book ring now. I'm not going to complain (although I'm not certain she did a favor to the adult publishing world) as anything that gets kids reading is a happy thing. HERE is her list page.
